Rum factory
A downloadable prototype for Windows
For this exercise we were given a MDD for a level called "Drake's escape" (our prof is a huge Drake fan).
We were supposed to make a map of an island where Drake crash lands, has to get his equipment from a mansion, rescue a friend being held hostage in a rum factory and then goes to the airfield where a chopper will help him escape the island.
I decided to stylize a bit each map, the island one being more like something someone would put together super quick and the other one resembling a bit more some actual blueprints someone took notes on.
Then we had to prototype the rum factory allowing for different playthrough approaches. I modified my original layout quite a bit since it was pretty straight forward and decided to add some collectibles (golden version of a 3d character I modelled for another course) that would catch the player's attention, motivating them to explore different approaches.
